The Horseshoe Crab Protection Act (Act S.4289 /A.4997)
The act has passed both the NY State Senate and Assembly so, all it needs to become law, is for Governor Hochul to sign it.

It’s worrying to see horseshoe crabs listed as vulnerable, especially given how important they are to coastal ecosystems. This article is a helpful reminder that conservation matters.
