Volunteer opportunities with other conservation not-for-profits on Long Island

The Long Island Sierra Club needs volunteers for energy, conservation issues, political, outings, education, and fundraising. Help is needed tracking town and county environmental legislation, attending town meetings, and researching environmental issues. Leaders and activists needed too. Email our Outreach Chair or call 631-689-1568, or call the hotline at 631-600-3324.

Would you like to monitor the health of Long Island water? Become a LI Water Sentinel! We train you how, where and when to do the monitoring while supplying you with a kit that enables you to gather the data. See Long Island Water Sentinels for all the details!

See this link for some details about the various committees we have. They may help you determine what you'd like to be involved with.
