Spotted Lantern Fly

One of the most quickly spreading and dangerous invaders of our landscape is the spotted lantern fly. The NY DEC is trying to reach every man, woman and child to keep an eye out for and destroy it when they see it. If left unchecked, it will wipe out our entire grape growing industry which is gaining more and more popularity on Long Island and generating tons of income for farmers allowing our farms to continue instead of developments.

The Sierra Club, a non-profit organization, is the nation’s longest standing volunteer driven environmental organization. Its purpose is to ‘explore, enjoy and protect the planet’. It does this by educating the public and influencing public policy decisions — legislative, legal, and electoral.
