Stowe, Vermont – Martin Luther King weekend
Couples and singles - get together for this fun-filled extended weekend of cross country skiing, downhill skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, ice skating, shopping or hanging around the inn to play games, swim or relax.
Accommodations and one dinner are at the Commodores Inn, Stowe, Vermont (a quaint town in the prettiest state in the nation). Dog sledding, sleigh rides, and snowmobile tours are available nearby.
The inn has a living room with a fireplace, sports bar/lounge with light fare, dining room (limited hours), 3 hot tubs, heated indoor pool, 3 Jacuzzis, 2 saunas, fitness room, and a game room with pool table, table tennis, and video games. Snowshoeing can be done on the property and throughout the entire area. Ice skating can be done on the 3 acre pond on site. Our bus takes people once a day to the downhill or cross country ski trails. Stowe shuttle buses from the front of the property go to town, the downhill ski areas, and the exercise trail. Rentals are available at the ski centers.
Price includes: transportation / 3 nts. lodging (Fri. – Sun.) in a room with one or two beds and a private bathroom / 4 meals (3 buffet breakfasts, 1 night dinner) / use of all facilities / taxes and gratuities.
Transportation: 54 passenger coach bus with a bathroom. One rest stop in each direction.
Departs Friday 11 am, from the Bethpage Golf Course. Returns Monday night.
Prices: Double occupancy $419 pp / Single occupancy $539 pp. Quad and triple rates available.
Downhill lift ticket if paid with booking: $70 for 1/14 and 1/15. A security deposit, required for each room, can go on a credit card. A gratuity (cash) for the bus driver will be collected on the ride home. Suggestion $10 per person.
To register: we must receive full amount by Nov. 30th. Send a check to “Sierra Club L.I. Group”, 26 Revere Rd., Port Washington, NY 11015 with a stamped self-addressed business envelope + your phone number. Cancellation Policy: If you cancel before Nov. 30th , full refund. After Nov. 30th , no refund unless you or we find someone to take your place. Lift tickets are refunded through January 8th.
