Spring Invasive Pulling-2nd Saturdays, 5/11 & 6/8, Carpenter Farm Park, Huntington

GoNativeLI.com native garden invasives pulling -- Spring 2019!! 

Second Saturdays, 10am-3pm, May 11 & June 8 -- RAIN CANCELS Volunteer Service – Help weed invasive woody plants in the areas surrounding a  Monarch Butterfly Garden at Carpenter Farm Park, Huntington.The goal for this park is to restore six acres of old field meadows to native grasses and wildflowers. Volunteers will help maintain the acres surrounding a 2,000 square foot butterfly garden, which volunteers planted this June with over 300 host milkweed and nectar wildflower plants.Wear/bring: Long pants, long sleeve shirt, boots, and snacks/water. Tools and gloves will be provided. Event will be cancelled in case of rain.
