Members, non-members, couples, singles, people of all ages - we’re going NORTH for a fun-filled winter weekend with lodging at the Fort William Henry Resort and Conference Center* in the heart of Lake George and you’re invited.
On the trip you’ll learn about and see how global warming is affecting the winter sports industry. Within a short walk of our hotel are:
Lake George which may have dog sledding and skating depending on how frozen it is.

Garnet Hill cross-country ski area**
West Mountain downhill ski area***
Local transportation: Our bus takes people to Garnet Hill Saturday and Sunday.
Included: Coach Bus transportation up and back * / 3 nights lodging in a room w 1 or 2 beds & a private bath / 3 breakfasts / lodging taxes and gratuities. * bus: Departs Bethpage Golf Course Fri., 10am. / Returns late Monday night.
Prices: Single occupancy $925 pp. / Dbl. occupancy $619 pp / triple occupancy $509 pp.
A bus driver gratuity (not included) will be collected on the way home. ($17 to $20 per person is recommended).
Registration: Payment must be RECEIVED by December 9th. Send a check, made out to “Sierra Club L.I. Group”, along with your car’s make, model, color and license plate number to True Hampton, 26 Revere Rd., Port Washington, NY 11050.

A block of rooms is being held for us. Unpaid rooms will be turned back to the hotel Dec. 9th. All checks will be held until then. If you find you need to cancel then please let True know by Nov. 30th, your check will be returned to you. No refunds after Dec. 9 unless we have to cancel the trip. If you request a room after Dec. 9, we may be able to get one for you but there is no guarantee.

At day’s end, find the warmth of friends and good cheer by The Log House fireplace, a centerpiece of our Adirondack resort. It also has a Unique “ski down – ride back” shuttle bus – the longest ski lift around!
